A quick couple of questions...
A quick couple of questions...
How does a body figure out who is reading her blog posts?
I can't figure out how to track this. I use Blogger.
I can see that 11 people have read my last post but I don't know WHO.
It doesn't give me any identity of the reader.
I have 6 followers and I know the one person who doesn't read my posts at all is my sister-in-law.
What about you other five?
Do you ladies read every post I put up? Or do you pick and choose?
If you pick and choose, how do you pick and choose?
By title?
By day?
By subject?
Do I post too often?
Not enough?
Am I that Blogger? The one who makes you cringe...
I don't get a lot of comments and I wonder why not. (I'm afraid to ask you that)
I am looking for some honest feedback here.
Is there something I need to change about my blog?
Thanks for reading,
Love, Lolly

You know I am one of your regular readers. As for how I choose, it is merely based n my own whims. Some days I read blogs and other days I don’t. I used to read every blog post every day for all the people I follow but now I just read a day or two a week. The weather has been so nice and I have been getting outside as much as possible. Come fall and winter I will probably be reading daily again.
ReplyDeleteYou are one of my favourite bloggers. 💕
ReplyDeleteI am not sure there is a way to tell. I also can see how many but I only now who from comments that are made. I read every post that I am aware of and, if I haven't seen one in awhile, I go back to see if I am missing something. I do the same thing with a few other people that I have been "with" for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI realized that in order to get my blog read, I had to go, follow others, and comment on theirs. I tried to only do that with blogs that I am really interested in because it can be tedious to read blogs that I am not interested in only because they are reading mine. I stay away from cooking completely and not too keen on vegetable gardening. I like people that tell stories, share vulnerability and are passionate about causes I believe in. You and Birdie and Annette were my firsts and I continue to follow and try to keep up and show I care.
I'm not sure how Blogger works - my blog is on WordPress. I am able to see who visits my blog because their locations show up on an international map. But I can't tell their identities.
ReplyDeleteI read all your posts. If I haven't visited in a few days, I make sure I catch up on each post you've written. So for me, the title or the day don't matter. I'm interested in everything you write because you've allowed your readers to get to know you, and that's why I come back.
I like that you post often. I used to post something two-three times a week, but now it's more like once a month for me, because my life has changed dramatically in the past year or so.
I like it when bloggers answer their readers' questions or comments. It feels like a bit of an exchange that way, although I understand not everyone does that, or wants to.
I agree with Birdie -- I really look forward to what you share.
God bless your week, Lolly. xoxo
Thanks for the input everyone! I appreciate your honesty. I have a wordpress blog also, but geezaloo! That is harder for me to figure out than Blogger is. I'll keep on then, writing down my bones. I believe that Jesus has a hand in this too. Writing stuff down is giving me permission to be open and honest and allows me to give myself grace...much needed grace. XO
